The Mark Inside is a four-piece rock band from Whitby, Ontario, that is currently based out of Toronto. The Mark Inside was formed in early 2000 and has toured extensively across Canada and England. The band has shared the stage with The Hold Steady, C'MON, Velvet Revolver, Thrush Hermit, Elevator, Anagram, Magneta Lane, Another Blue Door, and The Diableros.

Recorded in three separate sessions, two produced by Thom D'Arcy (Small Sins, The Carnations, Another Blue Door) and one session by the band themselves, The Mark Inside originally released their debut album Static/Crash themselves on their own label Vampire Dance but as their notoriety grew in Toronto the album was picked up by MapleMusic Recordings. The album was remixed by Ian Blurton (famous for his work with bands such as The Weakerthans, Change of Heart, Blurtonia and C'MON). Two singles 'Carousel' and 'Sweet Little Sister' achieved underground and mainstream success garnering attention on mainstream radio and regular rotation on MuchMusic during 2004 and 2005.

The band played themselves on Ken Finkleman's CBC mini-series 'At The Hotel' in episode 3 of the show opposite Don McKellar (Highway 61) who played their 'manager.' A performance of 'Sweet Little Sister' was spliced throughout.

Following the re-release of the record nationally The Mark Inside, toured with C'MON and Magneta Lane across Canada numerous times.

In 2007, the band released a 7" single, "Circling The Drain" b/w "Liar", on the Toronto singles-only label Magnificent Sevens while waiting to get on with their second full-length. The two tracks saw a lot more of a honed and aggressive band emerging, the seven inch eventually sold-out.

The band traveled to England in 2008 and recorded their second full length with producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Editors) after parting company with their former label MapleMusic with Jim offering to bring the band over to Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England, where the TMI recorded with Jim and Engineer Ewan Davies for a full month in the converted 1700's chapel. Shortly afterwards the band signed with Abbiss' label, MetalBox Recordings.

In late 2009, while the band sorted out the details of release of their album with Abbiss, Geordie Dynes, drummer and founding member of the band left the fold for other pursuits. After the departure of Dynes, Reade Ollivier was brought in on drums.

On October 26, 2010 the band released a 12" EP, 'False Flag.' Their second full-length album 'Nothing to Admit' was released on November 1, 2011 and is available on vinyl and digital download.
